Lodge Construction at Sikereti Camp in Khaudum National Park
The Sikereti Camp project involved the engineering, manufacture and installation of a bespoke timber lodge building for the main tourist area of Khaudum's southern camp.
Sikereti Camp is defined by a series of expressive timber structures whose form is inspired by the shape and rhythm of elephant tusks. Rising from the landscape, the curved timber elements create a distinctive architectural identity while responding sensitively to the surrounding environment.
Holzbau Hess was commissioned to deliver the complete engineering design, precision manufacture and on-site installation of the timber components. Close coordination with the architectural and construction teams ensured the engineered timber elements were integrated seamlessly into the overall building concept.
